huh mysis shrimp are for saltwater fish not freshwater fish. i've learn alot and do water changes. I feed blood worms, brine shrimp, beef heart, and every now and then tetra color bites. then ph stay around 6.4-6.6, and they have some driftwood and fake plants for hiding spots.

We feed tetra colorbits and/or baby dianichi pellets for a staple and supplement with usually just bloodworms in the field. A lot of times we have the dry food loaded in ehiem auto feeders in order to have the fish fed small amounts several times a day and have clients hand feed hikari frozen bloodworms daily and assorted quality dry foods for the other tank inhabitants as well as for the discus.

Water changes are performed on the majority of our client's tanks weekly.
A handful of huge systems with extremely well established groups of fish over time have been eased into every two-weeks but only a few. Our gallery tanks in the show room recieve 50%+ wc 2-3 x a week all with tap water (except for the paludarium) ran thru a carbon bottle and seachem prime added for safety when using the smaller portable carbon bottles in the field but usually none at all when using the big 5ft carbon bottles in the gallery as there carbon is always fresh.

carbon bottles make life so easy :D

We have a huge group of wild spotted discus on display in the showroom
using the same tap water. Ph of the water in never adjusted (purposely) and the fish overall thrive. Two and three pairs attempting to spawn in some tanks right now lol.

Mysis shrimp are a great supplement for any fish (fresh salt or brackish) that benefit from high protein foods. Damn near any fish will eat it to. Esp good for acclimating wild fish.

Piscine Energetics Mysis is esp awesome.

The stuff is just so oozing in fatty goodness it leaves a wicked oil slick on the surface if theres not an overflow on the aquarium. But its nothing a wc doesnt fix.

Brine Shrimp is a whole lotta nothing though. Kind of a waste of $ IMO.
