I use the darker settings too and when you use the colour above, I have to highlight the text to see what you have written. :(

Anyway, I've chosen a specific colour to write all my posts and I change only in very specific occasions, e.g to highlight a word or a phrase. Else, I stick to the same colour.

I am aware that others don't have to be like me and stick to one colour only, but I wish that they would at least use colours that can be seen on whatever theme the reader has chosen to put on. ;)

Oh yeah LOU is the other trouble maker with the colors but I think that I will try using Lou's color from now on as I can read it using the lighter settings, though I would still perfer to use a more normal color like grey or black.

Not only you, me too. But it would seem that someone no names mentioned Yanbbrox can't see in normal grey or black type, because he uses the darker setting in this forum and not the normal one thats easy on ones eyes.
So he requested that I type in a color that he can see.:irked:

Did you post something there, I couldn't see anything?

I can always read posts from Mauritius ;)

Thanks guys btw, I lose a fish and you lot spend all day arguing about font colours(that how you spell it btw, Let Bill know, the rest of the world could then be free)

Seriously, I'm expecting to lose the other pigeon blood tonight, the others are :woot: more food for us, I've never seed them so giddy, different tanks different emotions, I expect to lose fish every now and again in the discus tank, two in one day sux.

I would have thought that the post above had hinted that I'd dealt with it;):

Got home today expecting the plants to have arrived and a fun evening of planting ahead. Instead I got an email, not that exciting I know but it was about the plants;) It said plants have been delayed due to lack of stock, we'll send them out priority mail on Monday:irked:

On the plus side, if they've ordered them in there must be somewhere even cheaper to get them from:naughty::naughty:

Well, I guess that they must be ordering in bulk - hence it would be cheaper for them...

I wanna get another Red Severum after mine died... so hard to find here in the UK

Why are ya discus dropping like that?

A fellow uk mfk'er, finally I can speak English ;)

To answer your question I don't really know, as a project I would give it a total success, I lost one fish during the conversion process that wasn't doing well and it's been a couple of months since I lost this one, it was odd but it had a huge chunk missing from it's dorsal? The other p-blood is still alive but doesn't look to good.

For info I'm doing twice weekly 60l water changes a week and adding fertz at the same time, some plants are doing ok and others aren't, these are being replaced with the ones that do good, the remaining fish are all active and feeding well.

Thanks for the comment:)

Hmmm... I don't keep discus but I add liquid fert once a week and definately reccomend Flourish Excel bi-daily... if you're not using Co2 (or even if you are)... also grab a cheap co2 injection like CO2-Depot... costs £6 a can and has already made a huge difference to my plant and they're growing like mad.
With the chunk missing, sure it was not just the other fish getting hungry after it had died?...
I am going to look at keeping discus in a few months ... trying to get some knowledge on them... this thread is helping quite a bit.
You adding minerals back into the water after ROing it?
