Discus tank conversion, bare bottom to planted

Hey sorry for my late reply... I got Chemi Pure for US $17.49 so £8.76 thats all including post and packaging...

That not a bad price at all, I've not seen it that cheap before

Does'nt look that bad, a bit sparse, but that's because of the limited funds you have right. Listen as long as the Discus and you are happy that's all that counts right. And the C02 isn't that big of a deal right now it's not you have a large plant load in the tank yet. Don't worry too much about loosing a plant or too, everyone looses a few. Things will pick back up whenever you start putting more effort/interest & money into the tank again.

Thanks, once the polysperma has filled the foreground things will start to look better. It's just a matter of working out what works and what doesn't, the plants are cheap enough online to add a few more of the ones that work

I think I'll invest in some more polysperma to speed things up a bit

For some reason the fish are hanging out in the right corner at the minute until feeding time when they happily come to the middle

My idea of getting some more polysperma was silly as it's going nuts at the moment, everyday I find a new bit floating around the tank, so I'm placing these towards the centre to fill that gap up, you can tell the difference in the height of the original ones compared self cuttings that are to the right:

I second that request. The two uglyest things in the Aquarium Hobby......... BB (Better known as BUBB) and tanks without a background, I should know, my 180G is backgroundless.
