Bro, that ALTUM is not going anywhere...haha... If you never included the Altum as part of the deal there would be no Albino's in my tank...lol... That's what pushed me to buy all 8..The other 3 I have has grown and it looks incredible with all 4 in my tank. I can't wait until the other 3 reaches the same size. The Altum is a lifer...haha...

Yes, Cory's has crossed my mind.

Thanks, but amazing is that Goldie of yours.

Thanks. :)

I think Hudson's wilds would probably get higher grades from people who really know Discus... probably more true in shape, eye ratio, etc. For most of us who can't really notice a difference, though, or just plain don't care, I can't see any reason not to buy from John.

You're starting to make me like heckels now... guess maybe I didn't really notice the depth of the blue before.

Re: the San Merah, they vary depending on mood. Mine aren't in breeding mode (though they are proven) and they are sometimes a deep maroon but can get pretty bright orange/red at times too. When I had two super reds in there (which looked unnatural, like hiliters) they really colored up orange to try to match them. Now there are two younger ones that aren't as deep red, and that seems to keep them on alert. Lately it has been a very bright red edging with some orange in the middle, but a dark face.

I liked the snow white and super reds I had, and maybe some day I'll have a tank with them and some white/orange speckeled types too, but overall I lean towards a more natural look, brown-based, like the wilds.

Ok here's probably a dumb question, since I haven't researched this enough....Is there any vendors selling captive-bred wilds lol? Like, F1+ fish from wild caught parents? I love the wild strains, but I don't want to deal with the sensitivity of wild caught fish (even though Joey does nothing special to his water).
