Ok here's probably a dumb question, since I haven't researched this enough....Is there any vendors selling captive-bred wilds lol? Like, F1+ fish from wild caught parents? I love the wild strains, but I don't want to deal with the sensitivity of wild caught fish (even though Joey does nothing special to his water).

yea, I believe Hans has F1's or Dale Jordan. He's got some amazing wilds and believe has off springs of the one you posted.

Those are nice, but for some reason these types of strain doesn't do anything for me. When I wanted to do a discus tank I wanted to try captives to get my feet wet. I knew that eventually I had wanted to transition over to wilds. Something about these types of Discus reminds me that they should be in a tank like this?

The Royal Albino Blue's I can stomach but the other strains are like too fruity pebblish...

I think Hudson's wilds would probably get higher grades from people who really know Discus...

The Blue Moon Heckel was originally from one of his batches.

Another green variant I picked up from the Jutai river system. These guys were still adjusting to their new home when I took the picture. Still kinda beat up from being netted out the tank.

Great. Now when I go home after work, I will not be able to look at my checkerboard pigeon the same way again

well help a brotha out and let me know where I can get some fruity pebblish discus of that quality.

Well, HOUSE64 knows all about Fruity so he'll be a good start..............

But on the real, Lucky Tropical has some amazing looking Discus.

Here's a few that I wouldn't mind owning.. Picture courtesy of Lucky Tropicals. Hopefully he doesn't mind me posting.

Also, NotJustFish distributes for him in the U.S so it's nice to be local.

LOL... don't get me wrong. Nothing wrong with them as it comes down to preference. But seeing that we share many similar taste, I see those checkerboard going to a new home soon...lol
HAHA seriously. I'm might have to keep them though, just to keep the missus happy. you know how that goes :nilly:

As I've said many times it's you that will enjoy your tank. It's like when people offer me their advise that the ALBINO's should go, I just can't...lol... Every time I look at them I picture this...... =-(
