how many discus could i put in a 29 long?

I would say none myself since they do like to have "friends" (other discus) and they get a pretty good size.

they do better in groups of 5 or more. I wouldn't keep them in a 29g at adult size, but you coul duse it to grow them out.

i prefer them in odd numbers, lol. To each their own!

I would not grow them out with other fish.

Even because usually they pair off not true pair but as in 2 and if u have odd usually the most dif color from the rest will die

weird. Never heard of that before. Every local discus keeper(including myself) I know keeps them in odd numbers ( i think its just luck of the draw there).
I don't know anyone locally that only keeps them in even numbers.

I don't keep them in odd numbers for any reason, just do I guess haha

Mine either all go together in a group or all go their own way
