Discusguy

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Update on the fish. I lost 1, after doing a water change his swim bladder seemed to be off and was gone in the morning. He was one of the smallest of the bunch, but having 9 out of 10 2-2.5" fish is solid IMO. Last night into today they are all over their 40G breeder. Constantly searching and looking for food, not huddled in the corner. Once these guys get a bit bigger I'll order another 3 - 5 of my choosing to add to the pack. Also, after some major thinking, I am not going to chance them with the Arowana. They will be getting their own 180-200G tank with many Cory's, an angel and probably some loaches with plants.

Sounds good. I have my 240 with Cory’s and loaches now. After the first of the year I’ll be doing the same thing ordering the 10 pack then what I want. Thanks for the update and pics. Sounds like the one for me to order from.

How are your discus doing now? I'm looking into buying some from Discusguy.

I've got 4 of these discus left. I do not think it is because of the quality of the fish, but it is due to some mistakes I made when they moved tanks and work load had me doing WC every 2 weeks. So I think the casualties are 100% my fault. There was a flagtail that was growing out with the discus that got to rowdy for the crowd as well. This is my 1st run at discus and have learned quite a bit more in regards to the hobby for myself for sure.

Ok, thanks for that information. These will be my first. And I'm a little intimidated about the care, and who I buy from. So, I'm researching. I'm between Hans and the Discusguy. :)

I am glad I went with Discusguy 1st for sure. The price and "learning" is much easier to swallow at his prices. I know they are fish and living animals, and it sucks to lose them, but it's easier to stomach a $20 fish vs a $50 fish. I have gotten much better at keeping the discus and have actually added WC discus which are thriving beyond belief!
