Koi=boring fish= feeder. :D Seriously, what's the difference between feeding them a koi or a goldfish? There is no difference. So I don't know why you took such offense to them feeding the piranhas a koi. I mean, I would understand something like a vid that says "Piranha vs big bad cichlid" and it has a shoal of 10+ p's against one 6" jd or gt, not much of a chance there. Or when they feed arowana to their p's. But a koi? :P

I have to disagree. It's not about feeding it a Koi that's really an issue. It's the fact that people buy large fish or mammals (mice) to feed to Piraanha for the shear enjoyment of seeing another living creature being tortured and eaten alive.

Besides, I would think that Japanese people would probably discard a Cichlid than a Koi. You would throw a fit, but over there, no one would give a second thought to an Oscar or a Jag. I remember awhile ago, some guy was saying how MFK was evil because we had a video some other member posted of his fish (don't remember what) being fed Redline/Giant Snakeheads. As much as some of us would kill to have a Channa, those fish are easily accessible in Asia and are used as feeders. Do you want to throw a fit over that?

Everyone is getting on the case that, "it's just a Koi" A lot of people have different likes and dislikes on every fish. If he was to fed it an Electric Yellow, I wouldn't care because I'm not to fond of African Cichlids, but what would matter to me is if he fed a large Cichlid to be shredded by some P's for the entertainment of it. I personally like Koi. I didn't like the fact that he also fed it a really nice looking Koi. But again, if you're going to feed feeders, feed it something that will be quick and not so messy.
 
i saw a video of someone feeding their piranhas a 6" zebrafish cichlid. very sad sight. we are different cultures.
 
personally i'm not into feeding live fish at all, plus its illegal over here.

anyway nitrofish1 are you the real and original nitrofish
 
Ive seen people throw a jaguar cichlid in with a bass to be eaten, or a bass in with a snake head. Of course, all were smaller and vulnerable to be eaten. That pisses me off.
