me neither man. while i will say that im not against feeding live food, i would not use a koi personally and i see no reason to video tape it. different strokes for different folks.

plus my knifefish would prolly like some fry. do you know if you can mix colors? like my marigold male with red wagtail females? plus alot of them eat their own, an since they birth in the morning, angels get their breakfast.

If you thought the Koi was bad, watch this. You might get seizures though.

that almost made me want to put on a 3'' goldfish constume (makes no sense, I know) and jump into a rhom tank...
i love how when someone said "how is that vs?" the guy said "it's mental combat." lol
as for the "hippie" remarks, I wasn't bashing them, just reciting what I was called on youtube. I want to say Hey buddy! i'm only 12! how could I be a hippie?"

i mean ive seen feeder mice being eaten by them b4. but at that size they can be fed something else. and if they still need meat them raw shrimp. that just made me mad that someone could go to petco and go, hmmmmm, instead of a cheap feeder, lets use the 10 dollar koi.....

LOL. I agree he didnt really need to feed it that but what you said is being abit hypocritical. Who are you to say a Koi's life is more valuable then a feeder goldfish?? If your morals say its ok to feed feeder goldfish then its perfectly ok for him to feed whatever kind of fish he likes to his P's.

Start a thread crying about koi getting eaten then come out saying your going to breed your own feeders how does that work?

All it comes down too is he can do what he wants. It may be cruel it may be wrong but its up to him what happens. Everything we do with "pets" can be taken as cruel one way or another by someone. Is it it not cruel on the P's to put them in a glass box and totally change there lifestyle?? Maybe compare it with locking you in your bedroom and only feeding you MRE's or some food astronauts eat or something. Abit of enrichment for there life is always good even if unfortunately it ends something else life.

my two cents: feed live food according to your means (whether it is a koi, an aro or whatever) - nutritional value is the same (well similar). messy eating (e.g. getting things shredded) is a lot of work for clean-up by the owner (buy hey, if they enjoy cleaning tanks why not). Those that do not like this kind of feeding session, don't watch.

Feeding should be with fish in mind (entertainment second). Personally, i don't feed mice or ducklings to my aros (and other fish), i am sure they could eat those but apparently my pet shop supplier says it is not good for them (because of nails? beaks?). I do feed my fish aquatic live food because it is good for their coloration and it keeps the water clean (when i switched to pellets , the water got cloudy ... this is not to say that i don't feed them pellets)

see here im introducing nutrition into a perfectly setup community setting that is a natural part of their environment. but my angels can gulp down some fry that will die pretty quickly, as this koi had to be tortured and swim for its life.

Am I the only one who wouldn't care what Animal I fed my fish?
First off, those piranhas were faliures as predators, probably spoiled with Mice or something.
Second, A koi is probably a lot cleaner than a feeder goldie.
And after hearing that annoying chirping for a little too long, I wouldn't have qualms about feeding a cockatoo to them.
I am considering a whimple piranha tank, and as a result a guppy tank may now also be an option "He'll swim with or relatives... hehehe...."
