Masa_Rov - LOL i have kept Discus before.. they were allright. Its probably real interesting if you try to breed them .

P45 - yeah those petsmart variety fish are really for kids. If you probably did a biotope setup ( asian, amazon etc etc ) they would probably be more interesting.
You're right. They are interesting that way. I just got tired of the skittishness; so, I got placid fish like arowana and bala.

Dissapointments in fish.. I probably would have to say:

RBP's... too skittish, ran into sides of tank, when spooked?!! :wall:

S.A. Wolffish (common & red hi-fin sp.)... hardly ever moved-- (Gold wolffish) I LIKE!!

Haha i knew Ps would come up often in this thread. We have to blame the media for
raising our expectations of them. RBP are shy puppies with sharp teeth.

Dats - didnt expect this one. Indos IMO can be boring because of their Drab coloration. They usually dull up even more as they get larger.

Jack - def agree with wolffish. I see them at diff size and shapes they are like
turds with teeth. They hardly ever move. Fowleris are another turd looking fish that are just butt ugly and dont move at all. :)

rbp-so ***

i fed them to my snakehead :D

A bit off topic, but what are lungfish like to keep? Are they just another non moving turd??

Its a good size. I wonder why its so shy.

Id like to know too.

In order for me to enjoy this fish I have to wait up until about 11pm. This is the only time its active when the lights are actually on. For the rest of the time he just goes jet black and hides in the corner.

The things we do for our monsters. :screwy:
