A bit off topic, but what are lungfish like to keep? Are they just another non moving turd??
Yes. A pinnacle example of that, alongside most wolf fish and bichirs.

Id like to know too.

In order for me to enjoy this fish I have to wait up until about 11pm. This is the only time its active when the lights are actually on. For the rest of the time he just goes jet black and hides in the corner.

The things we do for our monsters. :screwy:

Haha oh yeah i hear ya. I cant think of anything about the dat. can you post pics of the tank?

The lungfish that i see are just non moving mofos. They look so cool in pics but they hardly ever move.

Nope, I liked them all, if nothing else they were amusing to feed to something else. I love cheapies and freebies. As an aside, people who are getting married or having babies are often a good source for cheap stuff.

Ill post pics in the picture gallery later on today. So this stays on topic. Thanks :)

I have an elognatus piranha that just sits there in the corner of the tank. It won't even eat in front of anyone and its been in there over a year.

Actually I have 3 South Americans that are very active, and most bichirs that I've kept are pretty active barring the ornates, endlicheri and P. bichir subspecies.

Red Devil..................I caught a wild green sunfish, and that thing would kick the devils ass.

TSN.............always hiding, I'd deffinitely group it in the "turd" category, lol. I did like the way it would swim like a shark though. I want to get an M. tigrinnus.

rayman - did you seriously feed your pirhanas to your snakehead? :D

how big were the pirhanas and what happened when you put them in?

Gosh, you people are gonna laugh at mine. Panda corydora...yes, you heard right. Not pirahnas or anything fancy but damn panda corydoras. I got a buch hopeing they would school around and swim up the aquarium sides, sift the gravel and all that jazz but they are the most boring catfish I have ever kept.

I have two senegal bichirs and they are extremly active. On the other hand my jack dempsey is very skitish. I am about to just take everything out of the tank and leave it that way just so I can see it. I have only seen him come out of his cave when I was by the tank once and that was to size up a gold fish then he went skimpering back into his cave. But he is very colorful if i could see him.
