Dithers for Festae

+1, I've had one 8" tinfoil bully/pest other tank mates and hold their own in a pond full of pbass, oscars, giant pacu, and red devils, etc...
I thought about tinfoils, but I like the idea of something that doesn't get too big. I'm leaning toward the filament barbs, but I am also intrigued by the idea of the convicts.
I'd go with tin foils... they'll eventually get too big ...but they can take a licking and keep on swimming.

Filament barbs can take any licking and keep ticking that a tinfoil can, swims just as quickly, but won't eventually get too big so can be kept for life. Honestly I don't mind which one you go with...I'm just saying
Yea i never thought about convicts. that may be the way to go. if you loose one, go buy another one, theyre like a dime a dozen lol
Yeah, I kind of like the convict idea because of their attitude. I just don't want them to start breeding because we all know where that leads. Lots of convicts. I'm going out later today, so I think I'll see what is out there. I might have trouble finding anything but tinfoil barbs around here. If so, I might fall back to the convicts.
you dont need a pair, you could go with a group of either male or female so you dont have to worry about spawning
I'd go flag-tail barbs. Check them out, they become beautiful fish if you are willing to shell out some initial $ to buy them.
