thats cool ash. I will probally be in florida going down there maybe the keys, we shall see though.

you dive your boyfriend thats awesome, my girlfriend bought me a speargun for my birthday.. didnt turn out well.

Diving is awesome, and something that no other activity, sport, or event could ever compare. The sights are endless, the encounters are never predictable, the locations are too numerous to count, and the sheer beauty and grace is unparalleled. I hope you have amazing dives and take many pictures! If you find that you love it (which I am sure you will), log a good 15 and join Ocean's Advocate.

Ash was our first Crew Diver accepted, and come spring 09 we have a lot on the agenda. Happy diving, and make sure to keep us all posted on your adventures!

ash i couldn't help but notice in your profile pic... you're giving the thumbs up.. what was wrong? :D

:ROFL: Nothing lol we were just chilling, the photographer already new I was doing it for the camera :) The rest of the students were there for a different class so they were busy not paying attention to us while we took pics.

I got certified about 8 years ago. It was so fun, but I don't have anyone to dive with and it's against the law to dive by yourself.

Solo diving isn't against the law. While PADI discourages it, SDI offers a Solo-Diver Certification. I dive solo occasionally, I actually like the freedom it allows.

That said, most people don't feel comfortable without a buddy (and a divemaster, for that matter). I would recommend asking around at local dive operators, they will usually be able to pair you up for a dive.

You're in California, home to some really good diving, so you should take advantage of it! :)
