Diving into Oscars. ...again

I wouldn't mind if they developed traits similar to the following A. ocellatus specimens:

That's the question. No one I've checked with has encountered this variant before.

kinda reminds me of a Rockbass or a Redeye bass or something like that

I had one like the top one. I believe it was an Orinoco if I'm not mistaken. It's been a long time though.

I can't remember what it looked like as a juvie exactly, but had very unique coloration as an adult. Power outage got it.

That Orinoco color could make make me want to keep oscars again. I much prefer that to the line bred designer color types seen most of the time.
