Diving into Oscars. ...again

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The scariest part about wild Oscars is that a lot of them develop to look like the common stuff in the trade. It's kept me at bay at least. Good luck with these guys.

I'm a total Oscar newbie but it seems that I've seen already 5 or 6 variants of wild oscars that all have their unique name in Chinese. They have striking patterns from juveniles and I've seen them at adult sizes with markings still vibrant. I suspect that the dull and black wild oscars are perhaps just like how the common pleco is with the rest of the variations of how they can look.

Oddball Oddball Any update on the fish. How many did you get and any pics? I am looking into getting some wc oscars for a sa biotype project and was considering ordering some of these from Rapps.

The all black ones are beautiful. I tried years ago to search down a certain wild type of O that had super red bellies. I don't remember exactly where they originate from but beautiful Os also
