diy 125 gallon stand help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think it will sag in the middle and may twist with no supports there. You wouldn't want the stand to do that. I added the plywood to make sure it would not bow or twist. Take your time, do it over a period of time. It can be frustrating. Good luck.

"I don't mean to be rude, but that tool said to use 4x4s for the stand"

***** Cichofitall, I DID NOT TELL HIM TO USE 4X4s*****

Manually ?? Jig-Saw ???

Wow, I would have gone out & bought a compound-mitre saw to be straight... Looking forward to pics & progress.. Best of luck & watch the joints with hand-cut ends.

thats why it took so long. i know. it cost 0.50 for every cut at home depot and if i known how long i spent cutting, i would have spent the 20ish dollars of cutting at the store. lucky there was a power drill also laying around. i couldn't have manually screwed anything in. i would have just trashed the project. im lucky i didnt use my 1000 year old wooden tool box of stones to cut the wood.

im so tired of what has happened in the past 72 hours. i took long breaks after every 16 gallons of water when filling the tank. the tank is half full for now and has the inhabitants of 2 flowerhorns and a pleco.

since it is half full i cant use my sump. i turned it into a over the top filter and thats fine with me. does the same thing
