DIY 3D Background - 20G

looks great man, but theres not gonna be much room left in that 20gal. Mine has no bg and its a small tank as it is. Keep us updated
 
looks good heater will still be in water, air pump with air line down the back next to the heater.

Thanks, I know! I think im down to 16 or 17 Gals now.. Styrofoam is about 2 inches thick, but its not completely solid, so I think I lost around 3 gallons. I'm not too concerned, this project is mainly to practice for my 75G's background. I'm not really sure what I will be putting in here, but not too much.

with some small fish it will look great. Let us know when its done. I wanna see some completed pics!:headbang2
 
I siliconed the background to the tank about 30 minutes ago and it is drying.. I will take pics when my roommate gets off work- I don't have a camera.
 
Heres some updates.. Slightly worried about the filter "waterfall" splashing the hood. I'll see when I fill it in a few days. I just built the hood without taking that design into account.

It looks like there is a wood bottom.. Thats just the stand under the glass. Planning on using pool filter sand here.
