My other pics were lost. I have to get them back.

Picture of a cool Irrigation filter. Found it a Tractor Supply while looking for jobs. Don't know how much flow can go through but a neat possible addition before the canister filter. 1" ID female threaded. (FTP)

Here is a picture of what it could look like.

I dunno if this topic has moved beyond this diagram or not, but I thought I'd point out that a diffuser/funnel thing like that cannot take low speed low pressure and turn it into high speed high pressure. Fluids drop in pressure when you increase their velocity - that's how a venturi works. Another way to look at it is that fluid power is flow times pressure, so you can't keep the flow the same and increase the pressure without adding another pump - that'd be getting something for free.

ah ya, you are right. Duh. Thats the whole point having that there as well is to drop the pressure since it will force the fluid to speed up. Thanks for pointing that out.

Well I started my own landscaping company and im starting to get work so I may start this project up soon but I will have to wait till my financials balance out first. They are a little shacky right now since I had to spend money to get the business advertised and get most of the proper tools for the job.

Luckly my first job is a house that needs LOTS of work. Im putting in a Retaining Wall with built in stairs right now. Due to some tractor problems and weather, im a little behind on the project but there is other work to be done so I think it will turn out ok.

Wish me luck and I hope to give you gets new updates.

Remember ... water runs downhill...

Not when its being pumped :) lol

Im going to try and build ponds as well. I will be looking into different designs.

Out of curiosity what will this be conected to?
Since caniser filters ready at the store their turbing is soft and bendible, so is your diy canister going to be conected to an overflow??

I always say "bad things happen to make room for something good"

Best of luck. Just think how cool that whole mess would turn out if you end up building ponds!
