DIY 6000 gallon tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I take it you went to the website and saw that idea? according to the owner of that tank he said it cost approximately $1 per gallon excluding filtration. Also to keep algae growth to a minimum has 240 watts of uv. aslo to let you know about filtration has cost about another 10K plus the costs of running all the equipment to operate that tank

Whether or not this is for real (That name is very similar to a previous shyster...) I'm surprised no one has mentioned John PTC's giga tank...... Cast acrylic, concrete block, metal beams, etc. If you REALLY want to know how to build this, get ideas of cost etc., then get in touch with him. There's at least 3 threads of him constructing identical tanks to this on MFK alone....Just look in THIS section and MFK Articles.

everyone got fooled, i dont think this kid is serious. and if it was going to be outside, why mess around with viewing windows or any of that stuff, why not just go with a simple pond?

waaaa.

I am thinking about filling my house with water and making my bed a tank. So the fish will be in the house and I will b in the tank. I will make it out of ziplock bags and zip ties. Anybody have any suggestions on filtration as its obvious I can't use a simple toilet seeing as crap floats? Please help!
