I have a 100' Python, but I only use it to fill my tanks. IMO, it wastes too much water for siphoning and is too slow given the large distance between my laundry sink and my tanks. For siphoning, I have a 1 1/4" ID hose that I use and just stick the other end out a window. It's really fast!
Incidentally, I've never understood the aversion some people have to starting siphons. Fishkeeping is a dirty business. You will get wet. You will have to touch fish poop. You might even get some in your mouth. Deal with it. It's part of the sacrifice that we make to enjoy our aquaria.
