Diy background with caves

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yes i borrowed one from a friend it is saying the same readings. all 13 other aquariums test the normal 7.8ish which is what the tap water in my town is after it gases off. in this tank each time it starts there and gradually rises to 8.8 which is as much as i can test for with my kit. i dont know how much over that it is but the convicts that i put in there are still doing great. no cloudness in eyes eating fine, i dont know if when i put my midas the ph was rising higher than it is now, and caused the problems with him. i cant figure what i could have used other than the materals i had read on here and others were using. any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and im happy to say my midas fango is looking normal and mean and wild as ever

Glad he is better

lol, dosent like the camera. The thing is it might be like the grout method. You might need to drain it once a week for another month or 2 and let it leach the chemicals that raise the PH then it will be fine. No need to scrap your work. I have a feeling that what caused him to get sick when you put him in is you put him in after you changed the water (like you should always do after a cycle) and the ph had a massive swing with him in the tank which fish cant handle. They can usually handle the high ph just not the massive swings of ph.

Stability is the KEY!!!!!!!!!!! They can adjust to PH just not the swing as was just said

Come on show some pics with fish in it!, Looks amazing, what would you say was the total cost of the project ?
