compared to a sump how does this do? i was thinking of a 100g wet dry but would one of these work better? would definately save space. if you were going to do a 500g setup one of these or a wet dry? what size would be good? a small trashcan?

I believe it would conner that is the way i have designed mine ..Not only for the fact if solid waste makes it in ther and then will stay on the bottom my tub also has an 1 1/2 bulkhead on the bottom so i can occasionally open it up to remove waste build up my tub i also trimmed egg crate and forced it to about 7 inches from the bottom so i can lay my air manifolds on it and keep seperate the waste and such from the air and media...Don't mean to be jumpen your thread Trev is it alright if i post in your thread ?Conner;4834086; said:Would the bioreactor be more efficient if the water entered from the bottom and was forced to rise through the media, rather than entering from the top and leaving at a similar level?
