DIY Blue LED lighting?

I meant using the fixtures to put the LED in. Is that possible?

Yeah that's possible I did that with my little 30 gallon. Would you want each light fixture to have its own cord or all of them on one cord? You could probably fit all the lights in to 2 of the fixtures and have 2 with the lights have now in them. I'll have those links for you by tomorrow.

I guess I would go with having both of the fixture have it's own cord. And yeah, I like the idea of just using two so I can keep the other two florescent as a back up in case something goes bad with my lights.

What are the dimensions of those fixtures I know they're 36" long what is the width and height?

Just want to make sure I don't give you some links for lights that won't fit in your fixture.

1 of these, this is the dimmer for the blue lights which i suggest you get so you can change the brightness of the moonlights and adjust what the daylights look like.

before you order these measure out your current fixture to make sure these heatsinks are going to fit. The dimensions are 4" L X 2.3" W
Let me know if they will fit and I will start working on something that shows you how to wire it all up.

Question though...do I only need 1 dimmer for the blue and white lights or is that just for the blue lights?

That's just for the blue you can order one for the whites too but I'm not sure if it will work. But it's only like $3 so you could just buy 2 and we will see if it will work.

Ok, no problem. I'll get two then.

As for the measurements...My fixture has slanted front so I wasn't sure where to measure the width so I just got the measurement for both.

Width before the 'slant' - 3 1/4"

Width after the 'slant' - 4 1/8"

Height - 2 1/4"

That's perfect the heatsinks are only 2.5 inches wide so it will fit where ever.
