to stick the sump in the back you simply need to partition off the rear of the tank. 1.5 ft should be adequate of your 4ft available. with a plane of glass.
drill some holes for the inlet and outlet, ad some partitions and stick a pump in the other end. i would recomend a fluidzed bed
if ur going 4 ft deep you will need 25mm glass.
