diy canopy I just got finished with

It definitely isn't as sturdy as I would have like....it's perfectly fine on the tank, but when taking it off it is a little flimsy. I has some scap wood that I built the corner and middle supports with. I would have liked to build a whole frame for it but didn't have the lumber. Here is a general idea of my build. It did change some from this design but stayed pretty close to it.

Do it, you will be glad that you did.....although for me the canopy was actually harder to figure out than the stand. This in part that I didn't have the correct lumber for the framing.

Do it, you will be glad that you did.....although for me the canopy was actually harder to figure out than the stand. This in part that I didn't have the correct lumber for the framing.

invisyblegypsey: in reality the total cost was around $45 in materials for the canopy. The cost of doing it myself and hitting my thumb with a hammer and nailing my finger into the plywood....priceless :headbang2

:ROFL::ROFL: i have mine cut out i just have bin saddled with honey do remodeling and have the window installers here today hopeing they will help cut my $500 month light bill down some
