Levi, now come down and take me fishing! My motor is still on the fritz. :irked:

I'd love to man! I hope we can get down there before the end of the season. Check out how I mounted this. Luckily the motor is removable and has a nice aluminum plate that's easy to handle while mounting it. I took some springs off of the old minkota to use as shocks/spacers. It works like a charm!!! The springs are great for hitting stumps or dragging the bottom (you can tell I already have)

Very nice job man! The fishing is good year round except during the hottest part of summer (now). Soon the hybrids will be bustin again. In the fall the LMB and SMB heat up as well as the mega sized catfish followed by sauger and walleye in the winter!

Rally that's awesome. Me and my dad did almost the exact same thing! It really expands the uses of a boat like that since you can command a slow troll from the front while getting some nice casting space as well.

Good job:thumbsup:

I digg the spring mounts on the trolling motor

looks great levi.... whats the main engine on the boat???

Thanks! We're going to take it out for a few days over the coming extended weekend.

Are you still using that old merc? did you have to rebuild the engine or anything like that?
Yea, the old merc gets better every time we take it out. I had to replace a vacuum line and replace the fuel pump (switched to an electric pump-no more primer bulb!). Whoever had it before me must have thought there was a fuel pump problem and forgot that it's vacuum driven. In the process of messing with it he over torqued the bolts and cracked the housing.

It's an 85hp merc. not the most powerful thing in the world but loaded with gear and a couple people it'll still do 30mph. With a light load it can do a bit over 35.
