You gotta keep us posted on this!!! I think it's very cool. I would think that as long as yuou don't go to tall the ceramic will hold fine. The possibilities for the are huge. I think next you should try a vivarium with water in the bottom , as much as you have now, and then you could make it taller for plants and keep all kinds of critter is there!!!
 
Last night when I was almost asleep I had an idea, If I were to make these and sell them for about $70 apiece slightly variating on the size and then use that money to save up and make my Plywood aquarium! It would require about 25 to be made and sold. The profit would be about $1750. What do you think?

I'm going to see if I can talk my mom into letting me stay after every day to make these, hopefully she will let me which I'm sure my teacher will let me (Ironically his name is Mr. Clay and he teaches pottery :P)
 
You are going to want to glaze the inside to help prevent water seepage and they do make and sale mixes of glaze that is food ware safe. For example to glaze cups and bowls so you can eat out of them and not have food get caught and go bad and build up pathogens in the micro surface of the clay.
