I know this has probably been done a 100 times but i was pretty pleased with the result so I thought I would share it with my fellow fish enthusiasts.

I had a couple of pieces of driftwood that I bought a couple days ago and i don't like driftwood lying flat on the tank bottom so i wanted to attach them to slate so that they would stand up strait the way I wanted them to be.

Attached are a couple of pics of how it turned out, not really a start to finish build but im sure you guys get the idea.
Oh and there are also 1 or 2 of my handy little helper.

The last pics are after i added another piece that I had.

Thanks for watching.

what did you buy to do this besides the driftwood ?

Its just some slate that I had in my African tank that I attached to the driftwood with 2 zip ties.(3 holes in the slate, 2 holes in the wood and run the straps through there)

In the last week I removed all my driftwood and attached it to slate in this way.Now i can place them exactly where I want them and my big cichlids can't put them where they want them.

Only problem I have now is that my Male and Female Jag really likes the slate.:naughty:

It's a great idea, but make sure to buy a pack of masonry bits - it's a lot better than ruining your normal drill bits.
