a plan i have been thinking about for awhile the items needed can easily be found.do you think the pressure from the pump can push the water back to the tank?the container will be a lock & lock which i thnk should be able to withstand the pressure. comments please! thanks!:)

allitle change in plan i just remembered that iam not going to be able to put the pump in the container without dismantling the plug in thing or whatever you call it so im thinking so an external pump

inline.still thinking how i am going to put the pump but im thinking maybe cut the container top thread the wires and 2pin through then seal it back with silicone.but then an external pump would be cleaner looking.i would be going to look around for pumps tomorrow.

If it's a pump designed to be used immersed you could place it in the tank.

If not I'd put it after the filter media container. This is what most cannisters actually do of course.

lol the main point is to hide all the equipment and making it look simple. tomorrow i will find the most suitable pump =)

I’ve just been to have a look at these lock and lock containers and they seem to be little more than a lunch box. Unless I have missed something they have no pressure rating at all and will not reliably contain the back pressure from your filter.

Would it not be best to create an open sump to hide your equipment as is more usual ?

You could use one of these lock&lock things for that and have no need to seal the container.

Put the pump after the filter so it doesn't clog and need more maintenance.

Also make sure the pump is made for pressure and not suction if you intend to do it your original way.
