Wonderful. It's a great pump. I'm amazed at how quiet it is!

Right now a 300 and a 125.

If I had to do something, I would just remove the union on each side of the pump. If it's anything like my little giant I won't have to touch it for a long time though.

Hey Rally,

Im going to be getting a sequence pump, and I'm glad to hear you like the dart so much. Thats very re-assuring :headbang2

Quick question. I was thinking of either getting the Dart or the Barracuda, but after reading some info on sequence's site, I'm a little confused.

here's the link:

http://www.reeflopumps.com/tipstroubleshooting.html

Its the PDF file. In the file, it talks about what pipe sizing is recommended depending on the flow rate you are going to have. If I were to get the barracuda, and use it at between 4' and 8' of head, it recommends 2" pipe to mimimize friction losses. So far this is fine, but if you read the specs on the barracuda (as well as the dart), both the inlet and outlets on the pump are 1.5".

So doesnt this nullify the recommended 2" pipe since the inlet/outlets are only 1.5"? Wouldn't the flow bottleneck at the 1.5" section and defeat the purpose of the 2" pipe? or am I missing something?

Look forward to hearing from you. Hope all is well!

The only reason I can think of is that with a larger pipe it will have less restriction in the bends. Maybe that makes a difference after the water leaves the pump.

I believe it's 1.5 out 2" in.

I used the same size pipe as whatever the thread size is in the pump. I do have it split to 3 1" returns though.

Hey rally,

How much did you pay for your dart? I can get a new dart for $180 + tax which comes to $190. I think its a good deal, but just wanted to check with you.

Your deal is better than mine was:)
