As many of you know I have some pretty large fish and a lot of them. As my fish grow and grow I was finding myself going through bags and bags of Massivor and alike pellets costing loads in $$ a month, Too much! So I started playing around with the idea of making my own pellets. Well, in my case the massivor pellets and alike are still too small IMO for my fish, meaning I'm tossing in several hand fulls at a time to feed them... So I wanted a BIGGER pellet, a MAN size pellet if you will to cut back on having to feed several pellets in one setting and at a reasonable price. Well here's what I came up with - Enjoy!

Very nice video, been thinking of making my own food as well. I of course don't go through quite as much massivore as you but it still is expensive. Roughly how much do you have in that monster sized bowl you made in the video?

That's a little more then 10lbs. in that photo.

How would i make a sinking pellet though, for monster Polys and such?

~ how many LBS of stock did you use to make you 10lb bowl?

you know I really didn't look, just did the 75% stock to the 25% flower mix and got 10 pounds. I'd have to check the weights on the fish / shrimp packages the next time and see.

But defiantly used more than I showed in the first pic in my vid. that was only an example.

Actually still experimenting with the sinking pellets for my monster catfish, I think I'm close to having a nice BIG wafer soon. But I have huge catfish and am working on a huge pellet that make these look super small. I'm talking close to puck size.
