i wanna make my own food to give my fish a good variety while saving money. i would like to be able to feed all my fish (oscar, pbass, mayan, firemouth, gourami, pictus cat, and some clown loaches) the same stuff. i found this http://www.loaches.com/articles/home-cooking-your-own-frozen-fishfood but that is for loaches, is there anything i can add to it to make it good for all my fish. i was thinking about adding shrimp, blood worms, and krill. what do you guys think

Nothing in that loach recipe that will hurt most other carnivores. I wouldn't worry about feeding that to most cichlids etc.

Cheers

Ian

The process seems sound, I think it's a great idea.

Right now I'm feeding so many different foods to keep things diverse, it'd be much better to grind it all up and put it together.

I think it would gross me out though.

i want to make it but i dont wanna miss out on some good ingredients that my cichlid really need

I sometimes make my own food for plecos... in a similar way. Just add ingredients that are useful for the species....
