DIY food

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think it sounds like a great idea, and much easier than feeding all of those things individually.

ok so i made the food today. went pretty well, although i used a food processor instead of a blender (parents said i should) and i think it would have been better with the blender. the food processor left it a little chunky and less liquidized. anyways here is the finial like of stuff i use to make the food:
here is a list i made what do you guys think?
Beef Liver
crickets
some type of white fish (i used walleye)
shrimp
carrots
zuchinni
bananan
Spinach
garlic
silver slides

here are some pictures of the process.

Unless your feeding REALLY small fish you want it be a bit more on the chunky side. The closer you get it to liquified the more of it's going to be wasted in the water and the heavier the load will be on your filtration system.

thats why i added gelatin, keeps it all together

looks like a fantastic deal on a cost per pound basis. You'll have to let us know it works out.

will do, going to test it out tomorrow

the verdict: 20 gallon, all the fish were going nuts and eating it like crazy. 75, my pbass would eat it and then spit it out and then do that over and over. when that was happening my firemouth and mayan would be eating the little crumbs left behind. so mostlikey after a little time the bass will take it

any news on this??
