Its downhill once you get the top cover leaked proof, the rest is just regular plumbing

Also, the canister will see the most positive pressures when the canister's pump is OFF. When the pump is ON, depending on the flow velocity you can lower the pressure in the canister.


I Just received a sheet of new foam for my filter. I'll post if I get the positive results I'm hoping for. Purchased online*: Nice product, lots of options, low shipping costs and fast turnaround time.

I had previously modified the stock set-up by ditching the ribbed hoses and replacing them with high pressure 1 inch ID smooth hose. I also added a custom inflow and outflow to take advantage of my oddly drilled tank.

in my humble opinion; The FX5 is a monster- and with some minor modifications could filter just about anything.
