DIY Overflow Boxes

first off, thats like professional grade quality. great job.

if you didn't have the sand, i would say mount that corner box upside down. that way you can pick up alot more waste. as it is, i think you may collect a bit of waste at the bottom.
 
Having the the right stuff for the project sure makes a difference..

so what happens if becomes if suddenly there's no electricity if he did it up side down...anyway good job on that DIY overflow box.

What you need is a box inside the box for the opening at the bottom to help draw the waste from the bottom and take it up into the overflow. Its just adding one more wall inside about .5 inch deep that comes up to just below the skimmer flow.
