Sorry if this has been posted before.
If so can someone provide alink?

I am looking for a super cheap DIY pond liner. I dedicated the space to it, but kind of ran out of $$. So I'll be digging it myself.

Any suggestions as to the liner portion?

Super cheap and ponds shold not be in the same sentence....

Any liner should not be more than a dollar a square foot at most retailers.

I used a intex pool liner for my pond. The blue looked kinda of weird though. I have since bought a 15 x15 firestone liner for $75 shipping included on ebay.
The thing with cheap solutions for pond liners...you usually end up having to replace whatever you using...so it doesn't end up being money efficient.

So maybe 25 cents-ish per sq.ft.

Pretty darn cheap if you ask me.

JP - Do you have a pump yet?

If you look on Ebay, they have some seriously good deals on 45mil Firestone liners, in just about any size you want.

Some people have been using billboard tarps. Supposedly they are about 20mil pvc and woven layer that lasts a few years. People compare the material to the sides of the inetex pools. I am with the others though and would 100% buy epdm, otherwise you are buying headaches doen the road.

Try rubber roofing, it's cheaper than "Pond Liner", and it's basically the same.

If you do this, make sure you wash it off well. Roofing liner has antibacterial agents on it to keep mildue away, but that would kill BB, so kinda anti productive. They also have talcum powder on them so it doesnt stick to itself....

Thanks guys.

Yes I do have a pump :) Actually 2. Both from a swimming pool I tore down and kept the pumps :)

I was thinking of the roofing liner but didn't know it had an anti bacterial agent in it. Makes scene though.

With any liner it is a good idea to rinse it off prior to final filling. A lot of liners will use talc so they unfold easier, i would rinse that as well. Even if it says fish safe, a little scrub will only take a few minutes.
