I know I have had issues with eggcrate becoming brittle when used in my sump for my FOWLR setup. I think it would last two years when submerged.

That is neat...

I have a Q... dont the pothos roots stick on the glass or the canopy... like when it grows on the walls it leaves a mark ye....

I'm not sure I follow what you mean, but the pothos are hanging directly in water. The roots do not attach the glass walls of the tank. They just hang out in the flow.

If im not mistaken they are also called as money plant? if yes then they do leave marks on dry surfaces, thus my query... well nevamind if they just hang out in the flow... gonna give it a shot ;)

2012-05-12_01-47-25_956.jpgGreat idea, I only had about a 3" opening between the back of my lids and the rim for my filtration so I used some zip-ties and plastic baskets to hold my new pothos, it works but doesn't look as clean as your new setup does. Well done.
