DIY Question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Things happen. Sometimes people just don't know what they are talking about. She may have actually thought that it was 84".

I bought a 210 that was supposed to be a 300. It became my fault because I bought it and had forgotten to bring my measureing tape. You win some, you lose some.

Thank you sir... I can't belive that lady screwed me on this tank!

After you re-silicone the piece in, let the silicone cure for several weeks. 4 weeks is best. 1/2 glass is a pretty thick seam. I got this tip from a tank manufacturer. Maybe it is overly conservative, but better safe than sorry.

There are stories of people that repaired a panel, but then a few weeks later, the silicone failed and flooded their room.

its 180 72"= 6 feet

The tank is all set up now with the new piece of glass inside the old one. It is siliconed in and has been drying for about a week. Should I put another layer of silicone on for extra security or is that just overkill? Also should i keep waiting for it to dry more??
