question, would it be ok if i changed the center 4x4's supports to 2 2x4's because i want to put a sump in but with the 4x4's there would only be 12" between the center 4x4's so that would make to much room for a sump. what do you guys think?

or would a single center 2x4 be fine? see the picture: the green part would be a 2x4.

would these to be equal support? i would like to make room for a bigger door but i dont want to loose support

The top version is stronger.

The lower version may be OK, but the longer the span of the gaps the more movement you will get.

Realistically either is probably fine, but the smaller gaps is stronger.

Thats exactly what I did on mine, more in back than front:
