They are now all located here. ---> http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121449

I think it makes it a little more confusing (harder to find) being under that one thread.

i see, much much harder to find. i consider myself talented in forum operation, and if i couldn't find that..i'm sure noobs will have a hell of a time trying to find info on how to build sumps...

so your saying rule of thumb .the sump size should be 1/3 the size of the tank? so for a 90gal i should use a 29gal for the sump? .am i thinking correctly please clearify this for me ..

Kind of depends on how many fish you are wanting to put in the tank, but a 29 gallon sump should be perfect for a 90 gallon tank.

thanks im planning on building one ,pvc overflow .same as your 55gal wet/dry but a smaller scale .now for the pump size i was looking at the quiet one 4000 . sugestions? im really am exited about this build but dont or havent been finding the info im needing . oh my pvp overflow im thinking 1.25in od .another concern i was thinking about i dont really like a whole lot of equip in the tank such as powerheads (ill use them if needed) the overflow is sucking from the top water colum. hows this work for the lower water?

When are you and Levi coming up here to help me set up a sump? BTW, your avatar drives a rickety old van and eats milk duds while parked in front of an elementary school.

What size are you wanting...29 or 55? I might be able to bring something up with me when I head that way. :)

And hey that guy is my uncle and he likes to rub my back and give me candy when I am scared. :grinno: or it's a comedian trying to look extra creepy. lol

I am using (2) 4000's on my sump and I really like them. I haven't had any issues and they're pretty quiet.

The 4000's put out some power to keep the tank circulating. I only have 1 dead spot in my tank with the way I have the return pipes set up. I kind of like it that way, so everything piles up in that one dead spot, it makes doing gravel vacs really easy.

And it's nice to have my heaters in the sump, so you don't have to see those either.
