you apperently dont buy much steel? anyways 1x1 1/8" wall weighs 1.436 lbs a foot. 2x2 3/16" weighs 4.32 lbs a foot. sounds like a very heavy stand w/ 2by
we use 1"x1" 1/4" wall for L arms on our wheel lifts. rated for a 4000 lbs lift capacity. they are 37" long. then add the fact that they are not rated for static weight as a stand would be, but rather dot approved to safely handle that wieght after being loaded and unloaded in constant consession. you have little or no experiance with steel used for building things so please stop bieng misleading
