Do fish need to eat everyday?

I feed my Oscars daily, as well as my sissy tetra tank, but every Sunday is fasting day for my Africans. A day of fasting now and then is good for them.

They should be fed 2-3 times daily while juvie but once every day or every other day is fine for adults.

It was my thinking that fish do not need to eat everyday, since they dont eat everyday in the wild right?

I usually feed my fish 1 to 2 times daily, but the day before and the day of water changes, I skip on their meals.

Depends on size, age, species, water temp, tank setup, etc.

As a general rule, I like to feed my juvenile rays 2x-3x/day. The adult bichir tank is only fed 2x-3x/week.

They dont NEED to eat everyday, but I think they prefer it. I feed mine everyday even if its a small portion because in nature fish are constantly in search of food.

i usually feed my fish every day...but lately my toga hasnt been eating...however he's started eating again... 6-7 block of bloodworm and insects haha costs me a fortune!

When juvie fish should be fed a few times per day. Once adult they can be left for three days or so.
