MAY B A STUPID QUESTION BUT.......
CAN I USE ANY KIND OF SALT IN MY TANK TO SUBSTITUTE AQUARIUM SALT? (EPSOM,SEA SALT, REGULAR GRANULATED TABLE SALT?) IS IT ALL THE SAME THING? I DONT HAVE ANY AQUARIUM SALT BUT I DO GOT THIS STUFF CALEED "MORTON'S SEA SALT" THAT DOES NOT CONTAIN IODIDE. ANYWAYS WILL THIS STUFF WORK UNTIL I GET SOME AQUARIUM SALT?

No need to dose your tank with salt unless you are treating for ich outbreaks. Even with nitrite intoxication, a better solution for that issue would be water changes than adding salt. And no, not all kinds of salt are the same. "Aquarium" salt will always be a ripoff to me. The iodide and other additives included in table salt are safe contrary to the myth spewed around to debunk its use as it is a cheaper alternative.

The only thing epsom salt will do is kill all your fish, so may not be the best choice to add to your tank. It is actually magnesium sulphate.

UNTIL I CAN GET THE WATER SOFTENER SALT WILL THE SEA SALT THAT I SHOWED WOR. THE ONLY REASON I WANT TO ADD SALT IS TO WORK AS TONIC, AND KEEP THEYRE GILLS HEALTHY, AND KEEP THE FUNGUS AWAY ALL THE GOOS STUFF. AS FAR AS WATER SOFTENER SALT GOES ANY BRANDS IN PATICULAR YOU RECOMMEND?
