MFK does not support shady business practices. Why not state the reason the post was deleted? The deletion notice said "Derail. Take it to PM". It's a derail since it's unsubstantiated and off-topic to the OP. Look in MA's feedback forum and cite all of the complaints. I see two (and, I can see deleted posts, too. There are no deleted complaints). One complaint resulted in a full refund. The other complaint was for incorrect species being received to which, the seller allowed the buyer to keep the wrong items and shipped proper items at his own expense.

As far as vendors current practices, it's under discussion for all vendors.

Leave feedback in the feedback forum. That's what it's there for and is usually ignored since many of the people who've made complaints (of any vendor) failed to leave any type of feedback to share with, and spare, others. Placing it in another forum, or a sig line, will result in deletion.

As to buyer's safety, the stance of MFK has always been, "Caveat Emptor". Everyone should do their research before buying from anyone. The site doesn't enter into refereeing transactions. We're not small claims court or the BBB. And, since there are two sides to every story and each side tells their own version of what transpired, mediating a transaction is a legal nightmare the site will not perform.

Not to be rude but Oddball I always see you closing/deleting these kinds of threads. But then I read that the vendor can delete marketplace feedback and they control the posts on their page. Did I read that wrong? Because that seems a little strange to me that they can just delete negative feedback. I like to see these kinds of threads because I make sure not to buy from places like this, or at least beware! Sorry if I misunderstood but seems a little shady.

These threads get deleted when they're in the wrong forum. And, like I just posted, I can see deleted posts and threads. The complaints I listed are the only ones posted in the vendor's feedback forum. Many individual posts are deleted as cleanup of a thread since they're posts from individuals NOT involved in the transaction under discussion. Part of the staff's job is to quell flame-fests. There are way too many members just itching to get behind the flamethrower even when they have absolutely noting to do with the thread's subject.

OP im sorry youve had to deal with that crap, i too have dealt with MA's shady practices. DO NOT wait around for your fish or money, take action through your cc company or paypal, as the excuses tend to go long enough that you can no longer complain to paypal.

This issue is currently being discussed. There is also no need for anybody to blame MFK for another persons transactions...

Watch you're not held libel for such a statement. The ACTUAL transaction complaints, in the vendor's forum and feedback sticky, consist of 2 complaints (as listed above) in December and one complaint from back in August. That's counting a review of the (counted as in ONE) thread the vendor deleted for not being in the feedback thread. There are no other deleted threads in that forum going back a full year before I stopped checking. And, again, the majority of people posting their views within each thread had absolutely nothing to do with the transactions. So, watch the word of mouth.

I see the OP's complaint, a "my brother" complaint which is already counted in the feedback incidents I listed. And, a "a guy had his money held for months". This is the same complaint as the "my brother" complaint. Looks like a whole 2 listed in this thread. I pointed out 3 separate from the OP.

I'm not trying to defend the vendor's apparent errors in the transactions. I'm simply trying to keep everything in the proper perspective.
