lol. the word terror has nothing to do with its aggression. but i agree every fish has a different personality. people always looked down on me when i say i have oscars, angel fish, orinos and an arowana in the same tank. but all of em are very passive and never fight. so if you really want too, go ahead and get the GT, just make sure he is about the same size as your oscar, watch them closely when you add him to the tank. oh what are you using to filter the tank?

um well i dont have the tank yet, what would you recommend for filtration??

oh and do male and female gt's have a difference aggression? because as of now it looks like it might not be a good idea to combine the two.

Males are more aggressive i have a male gt 2 oscars in the same tank and they are fine the gt was half the size of the oscar when i put him in .
Oscars are not aggressive the are voracious feeders if they cant eat another fish they will generally leave it be where as an adult male gt can be quite a aggressive in the true sense of the word a 12" Gt will destroy a 14" oscar no problemo if the tank is not at least 6' long.

yea im not exactly sure if i want the green terror. are there any cool cichlids to put with the oscar when i get the 75? i have a female dempsey thats really skittish so i wanted to split the two up, but they get along fine in their 55, which is getting over stocked, dont worry im on it. yea suggestions for either tank? the 55 i wanted the dempsey and a fire mouth and the 75 would be the oscar, and green terror. unless you guys think another sa/ca cichlid would be better off with the oscar

oh and any one know what would be good filtration for the 75 for the oscar and terror if i was to get the terror?

well i like the renas and have had great experience with them so i always recommend those:) i also like to have more filtration than i need so i would put an Xp3 on the 75 but i think a lot of people on here use the fluval canisters as well though i have no experience with them

two ac110 would be great filtration for the 75.

I have a 66 right now with an oscar and terror, they're actually really close. They scool together, and are literally inseperable. My oscar is growing quicker than my terror, so maybe that will change, but I've had them together for a month now, with no problems.,

I hate it when people have young fish and say it 'works' as most people should know....it only works after you manage to keep them together from adult sizes... like 6-7" +

As a guy put it in his sig. " Are you a monsterfish keeper or a monsterfish haver. " I've been guilty of both..............it's been my experience that large fish need larger tanks to co-exsist with other species of fish and even then some may find keeping species of Goliath Tiger fish, Payaras, Cats, Plec's, and even Parachromis Dovii to be too great a task to properly persue. These fish get HUGE.

Good news in this case is the OP is seeking advice before purchasing not asking " I have 10 Bala sharks in a 55 gal tank will this work, Petsmart says they only get 8+ inches? "
