Do these look fertile?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, it was going well. Then yesterday there were more and more white eggs popping up in the mix of dark grey eggs. I thought the best could have pulled through. Today, no eggs.?
Based on how well it seemed to go this time, hopefully next time is the one!
O well they'll have plenty of time to get their parenting down right. Sounds like they aren't fanning the eggs enough or they just aren't removing the duds from the fertile egg in time.

Convict spends a lot of time fanning. The parrot seems to be a rather lazy father. He leaves most of the protecting to the convict, but he does still patrol the nest. I’m thinking that despite the seeming fertility of the parrot, he is still a parrot and comparatively less fertile, allowing for less viable eggs. This would make it easier for infertile eggs to get infected or fungus covered and spread over to the good ones.
The convict also hates the dempsey’s guts, so she may be too stressed by him to let the eggs hatch.
They are getting better though, hopefully they get it down soon!

After a few weeks, there is finally another clutch but they are all grey like they have been the past few times. Don’t think I have a fertile parrot offer all.
