(our natives here have legends of a great white whale saving their people from a flood and taking them to the top of a mountain, where the whale became a glacier)
I have also found fossils of clams more than 18" across in one of the riverbeds well above sea level, which at one point was covered by the ocean.

DNA, as mentioned, reveals a lot for us. we are going to get better and better at decoding it and will be able to unveil some of those links that we seek.

ashleysomething;2884292; said:Just to lay this one to rest, there has never been any credible evidence that any global flood ever happened. The amount of geological evidence that an event like that would leave would be astronomical, and there would be scientists across the globe that would leap on an opportunity to study a global event like that would be mind-boggling. The fact is, there just is no such evidence to be found, or it would have easily been found by now. The only evidence that we ever find (from geology, genetics, biology, archaeology, life chemistry, etc) points unequivocally to the fact of evolution.
Saying that one believes in evolution is like claiming belief in gravity or inertia.
