Paying for PPV UFC cards involving GSP.

I like to financially support mixed martial arts fighters, but as far as I am concerned any martial artist on the same PPV card as GSP isn't getting a penny from me.

That is how p'd off I am at Dana White and Zuffa allowing the UFC to follow the Professional Wrassling business model rather that a true sport business model.

Is MMA real or fake? If it is real, there must be title defenses in a time well under 19 months. I can't STAND a "quote"/ "Un-quote" champion not defending their B.S. belt for nearly two years! Hell I won't even drink Canadian beer due to the UFC's poster "Boy Georgies"!

I hate Rap Music and even if I could bear a few seconds of that garbage, I would boycott Eminem since he looks too much like GSP!

There are some things I outright refuse to buy, and others I generally try to avoid if possible (I generally won't buy them myself but I will eat/use it if someone else has it), I've probably forgotten some things, meh.

Refuse;
-Monster Energy drink
-Canned Tuna
-Battery/cage eggs
-Pseudo-craft beers made by large corporate breweries and marketed with some B.S backstory to make it appear like an independant brewery.
-Sushi from one local store who were caught buying illegally colelcted and undersize Paua (native abalone).

Avoid;
-non-free-range pork/bacon/chicken
-fish that isn't caught fresh, usually by myself of one of the local suppliers (ie frozen bulk things like pre-crumbed fillets)
-products from companies who still test on animals (should really be in the 'refuse' list but it's damn near impossible! I think we've nearly got rid of all of them)
-beer from one of the "big two" breweries here in NZ. Long story, but the two corporate giants nearly consumed and eliminated any competition to their bland swill (one even managed to trademark the name "Radler", which has been used to describe a style of beer in Germany for a few hundred years!), luckily there has been a resurgence of microbreweries and craft beer being produced here, plus I brew my own.

lmao, this is hilarious. thanks for the laugh

I get where you're coming from, but I don't hate one fighter enough and/or I love mma too much to boycott a whole show because of one fighter. if I wasn't happy with a card, I just find ways to watch it for free

lol at Eminem looks too much like gsp. never compared them until now. I can see the resemblance

That's pretty cool you brew your own, I've been researching it I want to get into homebrewing.

i'm not a drinker, I only have a few a year on social occasions but for some reason I've always been interested in home brewing too. just think it's cool

not necessary to keep up with things to post there, unless a convo starts between individuals.
that thread is so you can pop in every once in a while to say "I love you granny".

that's the thing. when a good convo starts, you come back later to continue the convo and have to sift thru a bunch of other stuff

It's nearly as addictive as fish keeping when you get into it! Shame we're not allowed to discuss it here as I think there's a few of us, but rules are rules I guess.

Boycott rarely works. People were calling for boycott of chick fil a here in SF Bay Area, and every day during lunch the lines are out the door by the location where I work, and Saturday by the location where I live. The most successful day of boycott is Sunday, because it is a self imposed closing.

The boycott was a spectacular failure.

I myself boycott bad products.

I believe its because more people support the viewpoint that was thrust upon chick fil-a than the vocal few that are opposed. Proven by the epic failure of kiss ins the following week at the chick fil-a parking lots. Thousands rallied in support less than 20 was the largest group I heard of showing up against.

I boycott Face Book because I believe it is destroying families and communication in general. Nobody talks to each other they just stalk each others pictures now.

I don't have cable and I boycott many TV shows. 1 the price is ridiculous and 2 because you can clearly see an agenda in today's media.

Energy drinks in general they are disgusting and I would put money that we are going to see major health problems in the next 10 years.
