How do you boycott Obamacare? Not cover yourself and your family with health insurance?

That seems logical...

Matt
EXACTLY the point of my (and 15 million other, now UNinsured peoples') objection. not to mention the forced penalty.
Give me liberty or give me death. as stated, I'd almost rather die than buy that. twice the price for no choice.
my family? Our dependents are grown, husbands' age precludes buying into this (so far). next year, who knows.
Matt, I'll talk to you about fish, but this thread is not a debate. I made my statement. leave me alone, just like everyone else.

Huh can't discuss how to brew beer?

No "alcohol-related discussions" I believe. Maybe we can talk about mashing grains and boiling hops, just not about yeast and the fermentation stage as that is what turns it from malty water into alcohol...
;)

So you could discuss Malta! (aka Kinderbeer). I think its funny, kinderbeer is very popular in Germanic countries, but also in Central America and the Islands, so all the Miami natives look at me funny when I drink it, and when I visit Europe, we laugh at the Hispanic/Island people shocked to find Malta in Germany.

then i guess I better not talk about the wine we use to make on the ship with bakers yeast sugar and bug juice.

That's basically it. I thought it wasn't bitter because the yeast hadn't consumed the sugars though. On topic! I'm about to boycott the Café Bustello. I'm quite convinced their dulce de leche café con leche is without dulce de leche. I watched her make it, and I've tasted it enough.

I'm still unclear what "boycotting Obamacare" means. That you won't buy health insurance?

You previously purchased health insurance from some company. That company decided to discontinue the insurance product that you used to purchase. Probably offered you another one.

Now you can choose to buy insurance from that company or any number of other companies...with subsidies (discounts) based on your income...and you can't be dropped because of illness or pre-existing conditions. Or you can choose to not purchase qualifying health insurance from an insurance company and pay a $95 / 1% income fine.

So, again, what does "boycotting Obamacare" mean? That you'll choose to be uninsured (and pay out of pocket for healthcare - good luck with that - or rely on the largess of those of us who chose to be responsible / insured to subsidize you)?

a true boycott would require some sort of sacrifice so in this case I'd guess they'd be avoiding the subsidies and buying healthcare direct. Don't confuse the affordable care act for insurance in general. Had they gone that route we wouldn't be taking it in the rear with higher premiums for higher deductibles and less coverage than existing plans.
