always buy music if I like the artist enough.
 
I buy from itunes mostly. I used to always download for free but it always ended up with me getting computer troubles so I stick to itunes now.

I'll do this sometimes depending on the artist. The past few years I've been let down so much by bands that I really used to enjoy that I've been really hesitant to buy music. I generally just try to go to their show if they're an awesome band. I think that performance is such a huge component of music that you can't fully appreciate an artist without seeing them live (likewise, seeing some bands live has ruined them for me). And with any artist that's on a major label, so little of the album sale goes to the actual band so I'd much rather give then a larger amount from a tshirt or a cut of the ticket sale from a concert.

I refuse to download music from iTunes even though I have an iPod. I buy about one CD a year and just leave it in the car CD player.
 
i refuse to use an mp3 or whatever cool gadgets you guys have...just cause.
i use my phone as an mp3 player,so i download songs off the net.
